BMW Brings the 603-hp iX4 M60 and a Matte Red Finish to Athens

BMW used AUTO ATHINA 2026 in Athens to give the 2027 iX4 M60 xDrive its first public showing. The electric coupe-SUV is rated at 603 hp (450 kW), which places it at the top of the iX4 lineup and marks it as the performance version of BMW's electric X4-based model.

The car on the stand wore BMW Individual Frozen Pure Red in a matte finish. Frozen paints are part of BMW's Individual program, which lets buyers order special colors and finishes beyond the standard palette. The matte treatment gives the red a flat, low-gloss look that stands apart from the glossy finishes usually seen on showroom cars, and it puts extra attention on the M60's body lines.

The announcement focused on the show debut and the M60 badge, so pricing, range, and on-sale dates were not part of the initial reveal. Those details will be needed before buyers in Greece and the rest of Europe can judge where the M60 fits against rival performance electric SUVs. For now, the Athens reveal confirms the power figure and the color, and shows BMW is pushing its high-output electric lineup at European shows.
